This past spring, I was approached by PR company Strategic Objectives to be the spokesperson for Plant It Forward, a Kashi and Evergreen initiative that will see the creation and/or maintenance of 18 community gardens across Canada. I participated in media interviews, including a spot on CP24 Breakfast and various radio stations, including 680 News and Proud FM. I talked about Plant It Forward, the importance of eating real food and growing your own edibles, and community gardens.
The launch event was held May 15 at the Toronto Kiwanis Boys & Girls Club where a brand new community garden was created overtop of an old parking lot. I spoke on behalf of Kashi Canada and helped the kids plant one of the gardens.
