My road trip column for the summer issue took me to St. Albert and Edmonton, Alberta. I had the pleasure of visiting this region back at the end of May and gathered lots of gardening ideas for the website. For the magazine, I wrote about the highlights, which I also posted on the website. Read more »

Downhill mountain biking in Whistler

I love mountain biking, but I had to share my downhill mountain biking experience in Whistler for Travel+Escape. It was my first time, so I made sure that my first attempt started at one of the famous women’s night events so that I could get a little coaching. Read more »

A restaurant that celebrates moms all year round

Two years ago this spring, I was tiptoeing through the tulips in Holland. I spent an extra-long weekend in Amsterdam, exploring the city as well as the Keukenhof. While I was there, I ate at this wonderful restaurant called Moeders. Moeders means “mothers” in Dutch and the whole funky interior is devoted to moms around the world. Here’s my latest blog post from Travel + Escape: Celebrating Mom Amsterdam-style. Read more »

Even if I wasn’t working for CanadianGardening.com, the Limahuli Garden and Preserve would have been on my itinerary. However that magical day is still on my mind and in my photo album, so it was inevitable that I talk about it somewhere. Here’s the first mention on Travel + Escape: Garden Green Hawaii. Read more »
